UPLOAD YOUR FILM & BACKUP OPTIONS
Thanks for filling out your film's information! Now it's time to upload your file. Once you click the 'Upload File' button below, a pop-up window will open. If the pop-up window is open, it means that the file is uploading to our servers even if it says there is an error. Do Not Close the Progress Window or this Window! It should take approximately 15 minutes for a 250MB file to upload with a high speed connection. After a successful upload, you will be taken to a confirmation page which will tell you that you have successfully uploaded your file. As long as your upload begins before the deadline, your film will be considered on time. We also highly recommend sending us backups of your files once your upload begins below. For backup options and information on sending your releases, scroll down farther on this page.
NAMING YOUR FILE
"YourTeamName_YourFilmTitle.mov". For example, if your Team Name is "Flapjacks" and your Film Title is "Hot Shots", than please name your file "Flapjacks_HotShots.mov".
HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE UPLOAD?
Your browser may be preventing popups. If you see a little red x in the upper right corner of your address bar, you may need to 'allow popups' for this website. You can also try this direct link to upload your film.
Upload to YouTube or Vimeo
If you don't already have an account, it's free to register and only takes a few minutes. Upload your file and make sure that the privacy settings are set to 'unlisted' (not 'public'), that way you can view it without anyone else seeing it and we also ask that filmmakers wait to make their films public online until after receiving confirmation e-mails. Once your file is uploaded, send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org with "24 Hour Film Race 2016 Backup File" in the Subject Line and include the private link to view your film, your team name, and your film title in the body of the e-mail. That way, if there is an issue with your upload, we can go to your backup on YouTube or Vimeo.
