From June 12-13, filmmakers around the world will be challenged to create short films (4 minutes maximum) based on a surprise theme, action, and prop assignment as part of the 14th Annual 24 Hour Film Race.  The top 24 films will be showcased at a special Gala Screening & Awards Ceremony in NYC where they will be competing for $24,000+ in cash and prizes!

2015 JUDGES

Born in England in 1953, PETER CARE has been constantly working in various film media for over forty years. Beginning with dramatic and experimental shorts, and documentaries at art school, and then a non-profit film company that he helped to found, he became a leading pioneer in music videos. Over the years, he has worked with musicians including (the industrial cult band) Cabaret Voltaire, R.E.M., Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Tina Turner and Depeche Mode. Care moved to Los Angeles in 1986, where he met his wife, Lorraine, and they’ve been working together ever since – primarily in television commercials. In 2000, Care directed “The Dangerous Lives Of Altar Boys”, which received an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature. He also directed an espisode of Six Feet Under. For the last few years, as well as continuing with commercials and music-based projects, he has also returned to working on short documentaries.

BRYAN COGMAN is a screenwriter, producer, and actor. He is currently Supervising Producer on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones and has written seven episodes since Season One. He is also the author of the companion books to the series, 'Inside HBO's Game of Thrones' and 'Game of Thrones: The Storyboards'. Bryan is currently at work writing the film adaptations of the popular game Magic: the Gathering for 20th Century Fox and the YA fantasy novel The False Prince for Paramount Pictures. Graduate of The Juilliard School with a BFA in Acting.
