Jordana
Aarons - A recent resident of the
highly esteemed Norman Jewison Canadian Film Centre’s
Producer’s Lab, Jordana Aarons brings her diverse
background to producing dramatic feature films and
television programs. Under her production company Cedar
Avenue Productions, Jordana has produced various
music videos and Bravo!FACT art films. She produced
The World is Yours to Change, a half-hour
performance documentary promoting youth & international
peace, and the spoken word film Tongue Bully,
which was in competition at Sundance, screened at
New York’s prestigious Lincoln Centre for the Arts
and has won awards in numerous international
festivals. Jordana produced The Cross Road, a
drama about racism in modern America for which she won
the Best Producer Award for a feature film at the Monaco
International Film Festival. Recently Jordana
co-produced The Antarctica Challenge: A Global
Warning, a one-hour documentary about the effects of
global warming. This multi award-winning film aired on
CBC & the Documentary Channel and has sold to television
markets internationally. Along with an extensive
festival presence, The Antarctica Challenge was
invited by the United Nations to screen for world
leaders and delegates at the Global Summit for Climate
Change in Copenhagen/COP15. Jordana has a full
development slate of feature film projects, including
the film adaptation of William Deverell’s award-winning
novel Needles; Catch it Early, a comedy
set in a cancer ward by Sarah Warren; Denise Blinn’s
Day One, a rock-and-roll movie about the last night
of a indie music club; and Key, a drama about an
African refugee teacher in an inner-city school. |

Cindy
Davis Hewitt is a screenwriter whose
feature film credits include the English-language
screenplay for Hayao Miyazaki's Oscar-winning film
Spirited Away,
as well as
My Neighbor Totoro, and
the Oscar-nominated
Howl's Moving Castle.
She has written for Pixar, Working Title, Miramax, New
Line, Disney, ABC Family, and is currently writing an
animated feature for Fox.
Kelly
Sanders
is the executive director of Truly Indie, a
self-distribution initiative under the Wagner/Cuban
Companies. Truly Indie is a vertically integrated group
of media properties co-owned by Todd Wagner and Mark
Cuban that includes the Landmark Theatres chain,
Magnolia Pictures distribution company, production
company 2929 Productions, and high-definition cable
networks HDNet and HDNet Movies. Truly Indie has
distributed Neill Dela Llana and Ian Gamazon's Cavite,
Doug Block's 51 Birch Street, and James
Scurlock's Maxed Out. Recently, Truly Indie
worked on the release of Matt Tyrnauer's Valentino:
The Last Emperor, Stefan Forbes's critically
acclaimed Boogieman: The Lee Atwater Story,
Academy Award-Winning Director Terry Sanders's
documentary Fighting for Life, and the Hennegan
Brothers' acclaimed documentary about the Kentucky
Derby, The First Saturday in May.
Brian
G. Smith creates
television, theater, and multi-media in Canada and the
Caribbean. He is owner/director of You and Media, a
creative production company that has been operating in
and around Toronto since 1998. The company has produced
award-winning comedy films and socially innovative web
series. His short film
Chère
was nominated for three Canadian Comedy Awards. Other
work includes
The Summit, a four-part documentary series on
Toronto’s improvisation scene, and
NOW Magazine – The Movie, a nine-part web series
chronicling the 25-year history of NOW. An
award-winning alumnus of The Second City, Brian has
developed improv and teambuilding programs for groups as
diverse as developmentally challenged adults and
corporate think tanks.
Anders
Wotzke
is the editor and resident film critic for the movie
review website
Cut Print Review. He is a member of the Online Film
Critics Society, the Australian Film Critics
Association, and an associate member of the Australian
Directors Guild. Anders currently resides in Adelaide,
South Australia.
