This past weekend, over 350 teams of filmmakers from around the world were challenged to create an original short film in just 24 hours based on a theme, prop, and action assignment.  This year's theme:  Identity Theft.  Assigned props ranged from noodles to shaving cream and the assigned actions ranged from stretching to looking through a peephole.  Come check out the premiere of the Calgary films and vote for your favorites!  See the screening information below for more details.

Chicago Awards & Prizes

Prizes:  In addition to competing for the prizes in the overall competition, Chicago filmmakers will be competing for the additional prizes below:

▪ The winning Chicago 24-Hour Film Race Team will receive a Photo Shoot courtesy of Jen Stanko Photography consisting of a Group Photo as well as Individual Headshots and basic hair and makeup styling courtesy of Jacklin K. Salon for the team members. All images from the shoot will be delivered to winners electronically. Simple editing of 1-Group Shot, and 1-Individual Shot per person is included. Photo Shoot to take place in the North Shore Area. Date and location to be determined by Jen Stanko Photography. Group and Individual Photos will be taken on the same day.

 

Awards:  In addition to any prizes that are secured, the following awards will be given to the top films in Chicago:  Best Film, Best Direction, Best Writing, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Original Music Score, Best Sound Design, Best Animation, Best Visual FX, Best Special FX, Best Costume Design, and Best Make-Up.
